Independent Writing Task (30minutes)
Some people believe that zoos serve useful functions. Other people believe that it is cruel and wrong to confine animals in zoos. Tell which point of view you agree with and explain why, using details and reasons.

→ I prefer the statement that zoos serve useful functions to the statement that confining animals in zoos is cruel and wrong. I want to justify my opinion in following passages.
I have two reasons why I choose the opinion. One reason is that zoos make people fun. People in the city can watch in zoo various animals which they can’t see in their daily life. Those people are apart from nature, and they rarely see wild animals. The situation is not usual for human being historically. There were many animals around human in past time, so people want to watch them, and they are interested in them.
Another reason is that animals in zoos contribute to studying biology for researchers. While Cities have lavatories or universities to study biology, it is tough for researchers of biology to observe animal’s behavior which helps their study. To solve this problem, researchers can observe all life of animals in zoos from being born to dying.
Some people say that it is cruel and wrong to confine animals in zoos. The opinion seems to be right, but animals are saved from danger. Wild animals always face tough situations. They do not know when they are attacked. On the other hand, animals in zoo do not need to be worried about the situation. Animals may be happy in zoos
People in the city tend to take less time to watch animals. They should not forget nature object. Zoos provide the useful time to watch animals. I think it is important for human being.
